Traditional Living Room for Young Family

Project Description

This room was a blank slate before.  The family wanted a grown-up space that would still stand up to use by their three young boys.  They leaned toward traditional style with soft blues playing a favorite role throughout the house.
We chose furniture with traditional lines but modern scale to accommodate the large size of the room.  A huge square coffee table and area rug anchor the space, while vintage” finishes (distressed leather, slub velvet, reclaimed wood) on most of the furnishings ensure they will age beautifully.  Lamps were added for additional ambient light, and curtains soften the windows.
